I m using edraw floor plan maker which is 2d based for some of my daily practice i m not a professional floor plan designer but i found edraw is quite easy to use. I m finding the handful i found on google difficult to use and or they don t allow for custom objects. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. Thank you 5 comments.

For a simple home plan i usually directly drag and drop any of the preset floor plan symbols on my drawing board to adjust scale unit dimension colors and more or to group ungroup items. I have the floor plan with all the measurements in the room and the furniture within it.
