These were great for tough mudder and the spartan beast someone recommended these for obstacle course racing and they are good gloves for that my only concern here is that they do retain water so every once in a while you have to squeeze them out during the race which was a pain getting them off your hand during a race was also a pain the grip for the obstacles is why i still went with 4.
